Just got back from the 30th anniversary show where they played the record all the way through. It was outside and very May-ly pissing rain on us, which was perfect because my tears made me one w mother Gaia. If You're Feeling Sinister houses some of the most intricately intimate pop songwriting of all time. Each song is primarily told in imagery that form fits around every time you've heard it. Hearing Me & The Major live, I was flooded with every snowy walk I took in Madison when this song would come on and I'd feel the rush behind my eyes and nose, every time I've listened to this CD and sang along to my favorite lines, and all the more times I will hear this album in my future. Me and the Major could become close friends 'cause we Get on the same train and he wants to talk But there is too much history, too much biography between us He doesn't understand and he doesn't try He knows there's something missing and he knows it's you and I We're the younger generation, we grew up fast All the others did drugs, they're taking it out on us They're taking it out on us They're taking it out on us
